Grassroots is for community organisations doing work that deserves better tools than their budget allows – it is a philanthropically funded licence, so you apply and we assess. Scale is for larger teams and multi-region operations, sized per organisation. If you are unsure, apply for Grassroots and we will tell you honestly which fits.
Uprise is partly funded by philanthropy so that campaigning tools are not rationed by budget. That funding pays for Grassroots licences, which we grant to organisations whose work we think should not be held back by software costs. There is no catch and no reduced product – you get the platform, we cover the cost.
We look at the work, not the letterhead. Small and volunteer-run organisations, First Nations-led campaigns, and groups working on justice, climate and democracy are all a good fit. You do not need to be an incorporated charity. If you are not sure whether you qualify, apply anyway – it costs you a few minutes.
Yes. Organisations grow, and funding changes. Talk to us and we'll move you across without disruption – a Grassroots licence is not a trap, and it does not lapse because you had a good year.
Contacts refer to the number of people in your audience database—supporters, members, or donors you can reach via email, SMS, or other channels.
Team members are the number of users who can access your Uprise account and collaborate on campaigns, audiences, and reporting.
Segments let you organise your contacts into groups based on criteria like location, interests, or engagement history. Use them to target campaigns more effectively.
All channels includes email, SMS, and phone calls. The Scale plan unlocks full multi-channel outreach for comprehensive campaign reach.
It lets you run many campaigns, brands or partner organisations from one account, each with its own isolated data and a branded, white-label portal (logo, colours, custom CSS and subdomain). It's included on the Scale plan – see the Campaigners page for detail.
